Overview

 The Bachelor of Business Administration Honors (BBA Honors) program of T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Bengaluru, will transform young students into business leaders with multi-dimensional perspectives toward creating value in tomorrow’s world. Our students will graduate with outstanding intellectual ability, cross-disciplinary mindset, and in-depth functional expertise. Every activity will be a journey of discovery undertaken by the students. The BBA Honors program will be offered at TAPMI Bengaluru in the sprawling campus of Manipal Academy of Higher Education at Yelahanka.

We believe that creativity among young students can be developed with the help of well-designed curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities. We have designed the following creativity development process:

Specializations

All students graduate with a Major and a Minor specialization. The following areas of specialization are available:

To earn a Major in a specialization, a student will need to complete a minimum of 16-18 credits from the courses in that specialization. The requirement for a Minor is a minimum of 10-12 credits.

Graduation Requirements

We follow relative grading system with grades awarded for each course. A student is expected to secure a minimum of 4.4 grade point average (GPA) in the first year and a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.4 at the end of second to progress to the third year. The requirement to graduate with a BBA is a minimum CGPA of 4.4.

To progress to the fourth year, a student needs a minimum of 6.5 CGPA. CGPA of 6.5 is also required at the end of the fourth year to earn the BBA Honors degree.

Academic Awards

T.A. Pai Gold Medal for Academic Excellence: INR 2.5 Lakhs for the topper of each BBA (Hons.) track

Dean’s Roll of Honor: INR 2 Lakhs each to the Top 3 students of the BBA Third Year

Eligibility Criteria

Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)/(10+2) Examination or any other equivalent examination from a recognized board with minimum 60% aggregated marks, passed in 2022, 2023, 2024 or appearing in 2025. 

Candidates who are appearing for these exams in the year 2025 are also eligible to apply. They will be shortlisted if they obtain the minimum marks.

Candidates should have English as a compulsory subject in HSC/(10+2) Examination. 

In addition, candidates should have appeared in one of the following entrance tests: 

  • IPMAT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) conducted by IIM Indore; OR 
  • JIPMAT (Joint Integrated Program in Management Admission Test) conducted by National Testing Agency, OR 
  • JEE mains (Joint Entrance Examination) conducted by the National Testing Agency, for the corresponding academic year, OR 
  • SAT examination (administered on behalf of the College Board by the Educational Testing Service); OR 
  • Common Law Admission Test (CLAT); OR 

Shortlisting Criteria

Minimum aggregate score of 60% in both X and XII examinations. 

Students will be shortlisted and informed at their registered email address. Thereafter, candidates will have to appear for an online interview and micro-presentation (20-25 minutes duration overall). 

Final Selection

The final selection for admission to the programme would be based on, 

  • Academic profile (Xth & XIIth) & English proficiency. 
  • Entrance Test (IPMAT/ JEE/ SAT) 
  • Personal Interview 
  • Micro-presentation 
  • Extra-curricular achievements 
  • Gender diversity considerations 

Application Fee (Non-refundable)

INR 600 (inclusive of taxes). Candidates may have to incur, in addition, the processing fees applicable as per rules of banks and other payment gateways. 

NRI Sponsored Category:

Candidates under NRI quota must be an Indian national and additionally satisfy either of the criteria listed below (with enough proof) 

  • Must be an Indian Citizen who is ordinarily residing outside India and holds an Indian Passport [OR] 
  • Must be the Sons/Daughters of Non-Resident Indian(s) 
  • NRI Sponsored Candidates (sponsored by NRI parents OR brother/sister of parents* OR brother/sister/ of the candidate* OR Grandparents of the Candidate* OR Spouse of the Candidate*)

NOTE: 

  1. TAPMI does not accept applications in hardcopy mode. All applications must be submitted online. Candidates can make payment for application through UPI/online/credit card/debit card or online banking payment facility. Our website will guide you through the application submission process as well as online payment process. 
  2. The above procedure may be changed depending on the developments that may arise. 
  3. Any disputes regarding admission to this program is subject to the jurisdiction of Udupi only. 
  4. The application fee is non-refundable.
  5. Our Institute uses IPMAT/ JIPMAT/CLAT/JEE/ SAT scores for shortlisting the candidates for our BBA (Hons.) and IPM Program. However, the conducting bodies for these examinations have no role in the selection process or in the program’s conduct. 
  6. There is no “Management Quota” for admissions at TAPMI.
